£125k for World's Most Opulent Christmas Dinner

Cooking on Christmas day can be stressful for all involved and at one point or another we have all wished somebody else could take the task off our hands. Well that’s exactly what London based chef Ben Spalding is offering, but only if you’re willing to fork out £125,000!

That’s right, the top chef is offering people a hands-free Christmas for £31,250 per person - or £125,000 for a party of four. The meal will be prepared in your home by Ben Spalding and his team of top chefs and Spalding has said that 80 per cent of his fee will be donated to charities Cancer Research UK and Hospitality Action.

The world’s most expensive Christmas dinner in available from luxury site veryfirstto.com and Spalding has set out to use some of the most expensive ingredients in the world to create his opulent Christmas feast.

To drink, guests will have on offer a £37,000 bottle of Piper Heidsieck 1907 champagne, served in diamond-studded flutes, and DIVA vodka, worth £2,000, which is filtered through “diamond sand” and then served in a bottle filled with Swarovski crystals.

The traditional Christmas turkey will still be the focal point of the meal but will be completely different from the usual slightly dry turkey we have all become accustomed to. The bird will be served with Wagyu beef fillet and heart, and will be wrapped in gold leaf and sprinkled with a £5,000 serving of Akbari pistachios.

Other outrageous items included in this festive feast include a whole white Alba truffle costing £3,500 and a Yubari King melon costing a juicy £2,500!
