This fascinating tour begins at Santa Lucía Hill, at the spot where Chile's capital city Santiago was founded. After touring this area you visit Plaza de Armas to see the many historical buildings such as the city hall of Santiago, the National Historical Museum, the Central Post Office and the cathedral. Santiago is one of those metropolitan joys where the more you look, the more you find. After travelling around the city with its funky cafes and architecture that ranges from 16th-century churches to mirrored office towers, you visit the areas of Providencia and Vitacura. The tour ends with a visit to a handicraft shop which specialises in lapis lazuli jewellery, a stone that is found only in Chile and Afghanistan. You will then be driven back to your city hotel.
You will be met at the airport by one of our tour representatives and taken by private transfer to your city hotel. Plenty of time to go exploring, sightseeing or shopping and for the more adventurous there are a whole host of activities to be had in the surrounding mountains and countryside.
Your tour begins at San Cristobal Hill where you get great panoramic views of the city. Visit the Plaza de Armas and Santiago Cathedral, Plaza de la Constitucion and Palacio de la Moneda. Further sites visited include Teatro Carrera, Palacio Ariztia, the Bibliotec Nacional and the Plaza Italia. Return to you hotel and the rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore some more.
After breakfast at your hotel there may be time for some last minute shopping or sightseeing before your private transfer arrives to take you to the airport for your onward flight or journey home.
