Next you visit the nearby archeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, the Royal House of the Sun and one of the greatest stone monuments in Incan architecture. Stop at Qenqo Amphitheatre, a well known Inca temple that dominates the whole area and then it's on to Tomachay, located six miles from Cuzco. Taquile & Uros Islands

Float away to the reed islands

An early departure for this full day excursion to Taquile, a remote island inhabited by Aymara Indians who have achieved an incredible degree of organisation in their community. Taquile is also well known for the manufacturing of the Sicuri, a musical instrument essential to the folklore of the Altiplano. En route visit the Uros Floating Islands, where people live on islands made from totara reeds.

There is so much to see and do when visiting the fascinating country of Peru. A visit to Machu Picchu is, of course, a must and tours around the capital city Lima and the former Inca city of Cusco should not be missed. But this trip to see the natives at Taquile and on the reed islands of Uros will leave you with lots of great memories and plenty of stunning pictures.
