Caves Can Marca - Half Day Tour

You'll Rave About the Caves

While enjoying a relaxing holiday on the island of Ibiza it's well worth leaving the beach or poolside for a while to go exploring the Caves of Can Marca in the harbour of San Miguel. These fascinating caves, which are more than 100,000 years old, were discovered by smugglers and used to store the contraband which had to be lugged up 8-10 metres from the sea to the entrance.

Painted signs are still visible showing you the smugglers' escape routes. On this tour you will spend around 45 minutes in the caves and have excellent views of the bay from the entrance, which you can enjoy with an aperitif in hand. The access to the entrance of the caves is via a path with staircases and you should make sure you wear comfortable shoes for this trip.
