Don Giovanni - Marionette Opera

Don Giovanni - Marionette Opera

Fun with strings attached

Mozart composed "the opera of operas," Don Giovanni, especially for Prague. He even personally conducted its first performance in 1787 at the Prague Estates Theatre, now the Stavovske Theatre. And today, National Marionette Theatre presents this brilliant opera in a unique version using classical marionettes and it makes for a truly memorable experience.

Tall marionettes as well as stylish period costumes and original stage effects can be seen in this performance. It is presented in the original Italian libretto and lasts approximately two hours. There are so many things to see and do while staying in Prague, but this colourful show is one that you shouldn't miss and will prove to be fun for the whole family.
