On this special tour you are taken by mini bus on a winding journey through Trinidad’s Northern Range and extension of the South American Andes, on your way to the Asa Wright Nature Centre. The preserve is nestled in a rain forest and has an abundance of birds, butterflies, insects and plants. Your naturalist guide will interpret the rich variety of plant and animal life protected within the centre’s grounds.

Take a guided walk and explore the Discovery Trail and then end your visit on the verandah with a cool tropical drink amid a surprising variety of exotic orchids. Colourful birds like the brilliant green shining Honeycreepers and the Jacob Hummingbirds visit the nearby feeders just below the verandah making this one of the best places for birding in the tropics.
