Tanzania is one of the best places on earth to go on safari and on this eight day trip you will visit all the country's great game parks and get up close to all the wildlife. First you visit beautiful Tarangire National Park, then it is on to the stunning Ngorogoro crater to see the animals and birds there. Your next stay is on the endless plains of the Serengeti seeing the stunning sight of vast migrating herds before ending at magical Lake Manyara for more early morning and evening safaris. This trip is a great way to see all of Tanzania's highlights in a short time.
After arriving at Arusha airport you will be met by one of our tour representatives and taken to your hotel in the town. Time to relax and explore and find about all the activities that are planned over the following eight days.
After breakfast you leave for Tarangire National Park arriving in time for lunch before going out on an afternoon game drive. Lesser kudu, eland, lion and gerenuk are found in this beautiful park, which is noted for its multitude of baobab trees and tree climbing lions.
Today you drive to the Ngorogoro Conservation Area and have lunch at the lodge there. In the afternoon descend 2,000 feet to the floor of the crater for a tour exploring the forest area inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area where you will see flamingos and the open Savannah where the lions hunt their prey.
Today you drive to the famous Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey's renowned archaeological discoveries which include some of man's earliest known ancestral remains. In the afternoon enjoy a game drive on the plains of the Serengeti with a chance to see the migrating herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles and a pride of lions lounging in the shade.
The Serengeti is one of the world's great wildlife viewing spots and you have a full day's game viewing. Go out early and late to see all the animals before and after the heat of the day returning to the lodge in the evening as the sun sinks a blood red over the vast plains.
You can't have too much of a good thing while on safari and you have another full day today exploring the plains of the Serengeti.
