This six day twin centre safari adventure makes a great add on to any longer holiday in South Africa. Beginning in Johannesburg you first fly to the Timbavati Game Reserve where you stay in luxury at Kings Camp. Then it's on to the world famous Kruger National Park where you should encounter all of the Big Five - lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant - on a series of morning and evening game drives.
Your adventure begins when you fly by small plane from Johannesburg to the Timbavati Reserve. With only 11 thatched air-conditioned suites, Kings Camp reflects the charm and romance of a Colonial past in a pristine corner of unspoilt Africa. Kings Camp is situated facing an open savanna plain with a waterhole, which is frequented by a wide variety of wildlife day and night. You will have time to relax before your late afternoon game drive and your first encounter with the African bush.
A full day to enjoy the wilds of Africa. Wake early for a quick coffee before heading out for your first game drive of the day. Back at the camp a delicious brunch awaits and a chance to relax in your beautiful suite before your late afternoon safari and another chance to spot some or all of the Big Five. Then return to the camp, compare wildlife stories, and enjoy a memorable dinner under the African stars
After your morning game drive and breakfast you will be driven to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Punda Maria airstrip where you will be met and taken by road through the wilds of Kruger Park and a chance to see more game before reaching your home in the wilderness. The Outpost rests high on a hill overlooking the Luvuvhu River valley. Listed as Ramsar Wetland Park the region boasts almost 80 per cent of the Kruger Park’s diversity. The 12 unique and modern stand-alone open plan en-suite luxury suites offer spectacular views of the vast remote wilderness below.
A full day in the wilds of Northern Kruger. Morning and evening game drives and outstanding walking safaris are undertaken in one of the most scenically beautiful and diverse wilderness areas in the Kruger National Park and you will have plenty of time to relax in the shade back at the Outpost before each of the safari adventures. You should also be able to see lots of animals from the comfort of you suite as the views around are magnificent.
Your final full day in the wild to enjoy the vast spaces of Kruger Park. Once again you will be taken on game drives in the early morning and the evening when the animals are at their most active and be able to relax and soak up the sun or sit in the shade between excursions. Tonight enjoy your last dinner under the African stars and listen to stories around a camp fire with fellow guests.
Your safari adventure comes to an end today with a final drive across Kruger to Punda Maria airstrip to catch a small plane flight to Phalaborwa airport. This action packed twin centre holiday in one of the world's best and most famous national parks can be combined with a longer stay in the Rainbow Nation or makes a great trip in its own right.
