Full Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Cape Town to Oudtshoorn

Today you leave Cape Town and travel through the Huguenot Tunnel and on to Cape Route 62, which is the tourist route in the Western Cape, offering the shortest and most scenic drive. Stop for lunch in Barrydale then continue on to Oudtshoorn where you visit an ostrich farm for an informative tour. Dinner and overnight in Oudtshoorn at the De Opstal Country Lodge or similar.

Day 2: Oudtshoorn to Plettenberg Bay

Enjoy a morning tour of the Cango Caves – one of the natural wonders of the world. Continue to the lagoon side town of Knysna – the gem of the Garden Route. Enjoy some time at leisure at the Knysna Waterfront before proceeding to The Crags near Plettenberg Bay. Embark on an informative cruise up the Keurbooms River before arriving at your lodge where you shall spend the following two nights. Freshen up before dinner at the lodge. Day 3: Knysna

Today get up-close-and-personal with nature at the Knysna Elephant Park. With the help of the well-informed guides, you will learn about the sad and mystical story of the Knysna Elephants - the world's Southern most elephants. After lunch travel to Plettenberg Bay to see Birds of Eden. Here you can enjoy an optional whale and dolphin experience. Dinner and overnight in Plettenberg Bay.

Day 4: Port Elizabeth

Leave early for a trip to the beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park. Tsitsikamma originates from the Khoi-Khoi language used by a tribe that lived in the area around 1,700 years ago. It means "a place of many sparkling abundant waters". Lunch in the national park before heading on to Port Elizabeth where your Garden Route tour comes to an end.
