The Gallery of Modern Art, Maritime Museum and Suncorp Stadium – home to the Brisbane Broncos – are other top sights to visit.

Dining

Finding excellent food and drink that will keep you coming back for more is easy around the South Bank, and even easier thanks to the Mantra’s Stone Restaurant and Bar. Chefs here focus their attention on fresh produce and cooking seasonally, and the informal setting is perfect for a leisurely lunch or relaxing dinner. Prime cuts of beef are a speciality, including grass-fed Angus rib on the bone from Hunter Valley, which pairs beautifully with a shiraz from the Barossa Valley. Starters and mains include plenty of Asian flavours, such as soy-marinated duck breast, with aubergine and pak choi.

Spa

A lap pool, spa and fully equipped gym are all part of the appeal of the Mantra South Bank, and mean that you can easily keep up with your fitness regime, or just schedule in some time to recharge. The sleek, long outdoor pool is perfect for soaking up the sun either in the water or stretched out on the sumptuous day beds that are positioned right by the water’s edge.
