Royal Livingstone Hotel 5 Star

from £550 per room night

Location

This 5-star luxury resort is well located along the banks of the Zambezi River, just a short walk to the entrance of Victoria Falls, and a short drive from Livingstone Airport. Named after the explorer Dr David Livingstone, it’s an elegant resort consisting of 17 colonial-style accommodation buildings with large verandas; as well as the main hotel building which incorporates a lounge, restaurant and bar. Its interior design reflects African architecture, the elegance of days gone by along with contemporary touches.

Rooms

The hotel offers 173 spacious en-suite rooms:113 with twin beds, and 54 with king-size beds and each with its own private veranda. There are three suites offering a separate lounge and bedroom, and the Presidential Suite with an additional bedroom. The decor is elegant and all rooms feature sumptuous linens and duvets, fluffy pillows, satellite television, air-conditioning, mini bar, mini safe, telephone, tea and coffee-making facilities. The Victorian-style bathrooms feature a shower and bath.

Activities

The hotel’s location so close to the famous Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River means a wealth of activities are on your doorstep – some more adrenaline pumping than others. Choose from bungee jumping, white water rafting, air flips, elephant rides, golf, kayaking, river safaris, horse riding, and game drives, to name a few. Visits to the falls themselves can be arranged from the hotel. Back at base, guests can use the gym at the Livingstone Royal Golf and Country Club which has two facilities – one for weight training, another for aerobic classes and karate.

Dining

All your dining options are catered for at the Royal Livingstone. Enjoy light refreshments, drinks, teas, cakes and pastries at The Lounge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served at the Livingstone Dining Room, or you can enjoy a whisky, cognac or cocktail at the The Livingstone Bar. There is even the option to enjoy dinner on a steam train excursion.

Spa

The hotel’s spa has four beauty rooms, offering spa treatments including the full range of deep cleansing facials, massages, as well as beauty treatments such as waxing, manicures and pedicures.
