Great Parks of the West

Description

You travel east from the big city and the adventurous itinerary takes you through the Okanagan Valley, Glacier National Park, and Banff and Jasper national parks. Then drive west from Jasper through the Yellowhead Pass, Wells Gray Provincial Park and Garibaldi Provincial Park before returning to Vancouver.

100 Mile House was founded during the days of the Cariboo Gold Rush, when a roadhouse was built to service prospectors heading to the goldfields. They travelled the Cariboo Wagon Road, beginning in Lillooet stopping at what became known as 100 Mile House.

In Toronto we were upgraded to a suite in the Royal York Hotel which was brilliant apart from the works going on one night at the Union Station across the road which were very noisy and the hotel was very apologetic. I was not expecting to have to pay for our two checked bags when we flew on to Tampa. You hadn't said anything about this when I booked.
