Beach Escape at Koh Lipe

Description

Koh Lipe is one of Thailand's island paradises in the South Andaman Sea near the border with Malaysia which is famous for its white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. The island is part of the Tarutao National Marine Park and the area around is known for its coral-rich waters and excellent dive sites. Ko Lipe is home to many aboriginal Malay people, known as the Urak Lawoi, who you will meet during your stay at either the Castaway Beach Resort or the Idyllic Concept Resort.

Day 1
Hat Yai to Koh Lipe

On arrival at Hat Yai airport you will be met by one of our tour representatives who will take you by minibus to Pakbara Pier. From there you will have an exhilarating speedboat ride to Koh Lipe. Then you will be taken in a traditional long-tail taxi to either the Castaway Beach Resort or the Idyllic Concept resort ready to settle in and begin your four days of relaxation as well as taking part in some of the many activities and watersports that are on offer at both.

Day 2
Koh Lipe

Your first full day at your resort hotel so relax and check-out all the great activities on offer. Ko Lipe is blessed with two wide white sand beaches separated by hilly jungles and until a few years ago was only spoken about in 'secretive' rising star whispers. There is so much to love about this island which boasts gorgeous salt-white sand crescents, chilled-out reggae bars, some sensational diving spots and a friendly jungle-clad interior which is great to explore either alone or on an organised trip.

Day 3
Koh Lipe

Another full day to relax and soak up the tropical sunshine on this paradise island. At Castaway Beach Resort the spirit of the beach is really brought to life. Situated in a beautiful part of the island, the spacious wooden bungalows and restaurant with a large chill-out deck overlooking the beach, make it one of the most atmospheric places to stay. The Idyllic Concept resort is situated on Sunrise Beach and has a great pool and restaurant and all rooms come with indoor and outdoor rain showers. Both serve wonderful local dishes.

Day 4
Koh Lipe to Hat Yai

Today your wonderful stay in paradise comes to an end. Possibly time for some more sunbathing or watersports before you are picked up for the return journey to Pakbara Pier at Hat Yai by long-tail boat, speedboat then minibus to the airport. This four day break on one of Thailand's most beautiful islands makes a great add on to any longer stay in the country and will leave you with so many great memories of what it's like to experience the perfect relaxing break.

As always Ronnie was able to sort out our holiday requirements with no problems

|
Flew to Koh Samui

The only small worry was the lack of time between landing at Bangkok and then the very quick hike to the departure gate for the next flight. I was put on an earlier flight at Koh Samui which gave me an extra 20 minutes, even so, as Bangkok is vast, time was of the essence. That said, no problems, transfers, rep and accommodation were all great. Thank you DialAFlight!
