Overview
The mere mention of Bali evokes thoughts of a paradise. It's more than a place - it's a mood, an aspiration, a tropical state of mind. The rich and diverse culture of the island plays out at all levels of life, from the exquisite flower-petal offerings placed everywhere to the processions of joyful locals marching to one of the many temple ceremonies. The middle of Bali is dominated by the dramatic volcanoes of the central mountains and on this short tour you will see so much of this spiritual holiday destination.
Day 1
Beach Hotel to Ubud
You are picked up from your hotel in South Bali for a visit to Tohpati Village to see its batik home industry then stop at art and handicraft villages to witness gold and silver work, hand weaving wood carving and painting. Then stroll through central Ubud to the Agung Rai Museum of Art. Pass through the local market, which is always bustling with activity, and enter Ubud Palace where the local royal family still live. Then have free time to explore the numerous shops and boutiques in the centre of town before checking into your hotel.

Day 2
Ubud
The Brahmans, members of the caste of the priests, watch over the countless customs, rituals and festivals that characterise life on the island and today they welcome you into their home, where you can take part in activities that are “uniquely Bali”. Assist the family in preparing Balinese dishes and watch the local chefs preparing your lunch. Then visit another member of the family, where you receive a purifying Balinese Blessing by a priest and meet an astrologer. Before returning to your hotel take a walk through the village.

Then head to Alas Kedaton Monkey Forest which is home to hundreds of macaque monkeys, before heading south to the island’s most famous temple complex at Tanah Lot. With its spectacular location, it is an integral part of Balinese mythology. After spending time at this wonderful site, you are driven back to you beach hotel.
