The Aer Lingus Lounge in Chicago was unacceptable. There were no windows, no toilets /washrooms and the place stank of aircraft fuel coming through the a/c. It was the only blot on the trip.

The flight to Chicago was cancelled. Had to go to Houston on United Airlines making my journey four hours longer.
The suggestion of premium economy for the return flight was inspired! Real food served on china with metal cutlery and cotton napkins, more leg room and bigger seats. Next year it will be both ways.
Assistance service was very good, saved so much walking and time queueing at customs
