General

If you appreciate historical architecture, the JW Marriott El Convento is the perfect choice set in a beautiful 16th-century convent building. It also offers 5-star amenities, a great location steps from the Plaza de Armas, and easy access to Machu Picchu. To get here, it’s an amazingly short 3km drive from the international airport.

Room Description

No matter which room you choose – from classic Inca to courtyard terrace – you can expect a high standard of interior design and comfort. Somewhere in between, the colonial courtyard rooms feature one kind of two doubles, a great view over the quiet courtyard and a plush marble bathroom complete with every product you need as well as fluffy towels and robes.

Activities

For culture lovers, there are plenty of historical sights just a walk from the hotel, including the fascinating Plaza de Armas (main square) and the beautiful San Agustin Convent – the hotel’s very own 16th-century monastery. Plenty of visitors will also be keen to take a trip to the country’s most famous site, Machu Picchu, which isn’t far from the hotel – trips can be arranged by the concierge.

Dining

Pirqua Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers plenty of Peruvian options, served in sophisticated surroundings. It also has a reputation as one of Cusco’s most popular places for dinner. For something more casual, the Qespi Bar serves Peruvian cocktails, as well as light lunches and dinners. Then there’s the Nina Soncco Lounge with its cosy fireplace, offering hearty local food in a casual atmosphere.
