We have been recommending you to anyone who will listen. When we arrived at Havana airport on a Sunday afternoon to catch a flight to Antigua (via Santo Domingo) we found our flight was cancelled and, after some digging around, and no help whatsoever from "customer services" in Havana (customer "service" is not really a Cuban speciality) we discovered that PAWA air had ceased trading.
We dialled the DialAFlight emergency number and they could not have done more. When he went off duty he handed over to his colleague Karen and between them they rebooked flights to Antigua via Miami.
This meant an overnight stay in Miami and a hotel was duly booked for us. More than that we needed ESTAS as ours had expired just one week earlier and had not been renewed (thinking we would not need them.) These were duly completed over the phone and paid for.(It took some time but once submitted they came through quickly) and we were all systems go.
We eventually arrived in Antigua just a couple of hours later than originally planned and even our taxi transfer was adjusted accordingly by DialAFlight. We continued with our holiday (sailing in the Caribbean) and everything else went to plan. We shall let everyone know how great the service was when we felt rather lost. The only financial damage seems to be a huge mobile phone bill! Thank you all.
