The Enchanted Island boutique resort brings uncompromised luxury to the idyllic tropical shores of the Seychelles . Everywhere you look you’ll see white sand and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Arriving is part of the fun: it’s a short chauffeur-driven trip from Seychelles International Airport at Mahé to the nearby jetty, followed by a 15-minute motorboat transfer. It won’t take long – but you’ll feel a world away from everyday life.
The hilltop Serena spa offers two relaxing treatment pavilions, each with its own steam room, shower and terrace, where guests can arrange to have treatments, either singly or as part of a couple, in complete privacy. A third pavilion is the place to practise yoga in these most natural of surroundings.
This romantic resort has just ten exclusive villas, styled as Private Pool Villas, Enchanted Signature Villas or the Owner’s Signature Villa and all designed to reflect Creole architecture. As well as its own private walkway to an infinity pool and the beach, each has a private decked area with sun-loungers, an outdoor rain shower and, inside, a four-poster bed, wifi, air-conditioning, minibar and tea and coffee-making facilities. The best views of all are from the Owner’s Villa, which has access to no fewer than three private beaches as well as a separate lounge and dining area.
You may want to do nothing more than lie back and melt into your soothing surroundings. But if you fancy a bit of activity, you can frolic to your heart’s content in the resort’s main temperature-controlled swimming pool or work out at the fully equipped gym. Or take full advantage of such an amazing beachside setting by trying out the complimentary equipment at the Watersports Centre, anything from snorkels and fins to kayaks. There’s also the Tresor boutique to keep shoppers happy.
Local island ingredients form the basis of the delicious cuisine on offer. You can choose to eat at the Bounty restaurant, beside the pool and overlooking the ocean, for an ever-changing menu of international dishes with a Creole influence. But if romance is in the air and you prefer to eat à deux, private dining can be arranged at your villa or served on the beach. Aperitifs, cocktails and nightcaps can be sipped by starlight at the Castaway Bar.
