General

The luxurious Turtle Beach in the enchanting Tortuguero National Park, is a 4-star retreat surrounded by lush jungle, a meandering private canal and a half a mile of private beach on the Caribbean sea. This secluded and tranquil location, together with its trained staff and experienced guides, offers guests the perfect base for a tropical adventure. You can fly in and out of Tortuguero which is only five minutes from the lodge.

Room Description

Turtle Beach consists of airy cabins featuring comfy beds, ceiling fans, cool tiled floors, private baths with hot showers and big windows that let in the gentle ocean breezes and jungle sounds. Standard rooms sleep two to four people, and there are rooms for larger family groups.

Activities

Whether you’re seeking relaxation or adventure, Turtle Beach has something for you. The area boasts incredible habitats, including rainforest, swamps, beaches and lagoons, all filled with a diverse flora and fauna. Beaches are a key nesting ground for endangered sea turtles, while the jungle is home to endangered jaguars, three species of monkeys and sloths. After a day spent exploring the local area and hiking through jungle trails, there’s nothing better than the chance to relax on the beach, swing in a hammock by a pool or kayak on the canals.

Dining

A buffet packed with tasty local as well as international dishes is served three times a day in the lodge’s spacious open-air restaurant. Or you might prefer to unwind from your jungle adventures in the thatched-roof bar over a cool glass of wine.
