The beautiful Amanyara is a luxury Caribbean beach resort set on a sea of vivid turquoise on the island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands. It’s a secluded haven with a great location bordering the pristine reefs of Northwest Point Marine National Park making it the perfect choice for a diving holiday, romantic break or honeymoon. To get here, it’s a 25-minute drive from the international airport on the island.
Accommodation is in the form of 36 timber-shingled guest pavilions and two-bedroom pavilion suites. They consists of a combined bedroom and living room separated from the bathroom area by a wooden screen and feature a king bed, writing desk, reading chair as well as an entertainment until with flat-screen TV and CD/DVD player. Bathrooms are spacious and elegant and boast a freestanding bathtub, twin sinks and a rain shower.
Take a dip in the hotel’s 50-metre pool before nabbing a lounger on the timber deck and kicking back to views of the ocean. If you want to plan your time on the island, the hotel’s library offers a selection of travel guides. Alternatively, the resort can help you organise trips around the island, as well as whale-watching tours, water sports including kayaking, diving and snorkeling or tours to learn about the island’s flora, fauna or geology.
There are two dining options, both as opulent as the other. One is set in an open-air terrace with outdoor seating scattered beneath two large trees, which the second is air-conditioned for the hotter months. Whichever you choose, you’ll enjoy dining on a selection of classic Asian and modern Mediterranean dishes with an emphasis on fresh seafood.
