The Calabash Grenada enjoys a secluded bay setting in a 27-acre development on the island of Grenada. The Spa at Calabash is located on the hill side over looking the bay features a range of treatment rooms and a yoga pavilion.
The Calabash has 30 suites housed in 10 buildings and 5 estate villa. The suites are arranged in a horseshoe shape in eight acres of tropical gardens while the estate villas are on the hill side overlooking the bay. Stay in a spacious Junior Suite with comfy sitting area, or choose a Superior, Deluxe, Pool or Penthouse Suite. All suites have balconies or patios where breakfast is served by a personal maid or you can opt to have breakfast on the hotel’s gorgeous beach. Each suite has air conditioning, ceiling fans, showers, separate baths, hairdryers, HD televisions and DVD players. Additional facilities include iPod docking stations, complimentary WiFi, iron and ironing board, mini bar, robes, Elemis Skincare products and safes. The Estate villas have up to 5 bedrooms and are finished to a very high standard with their own private infinity edged pool.
The powdery sands of L'Anse Aux Épines beach are studded with palm trees, making them perfect for sunbathing or relaxing in the shade. The calm sea is inviting to swimmers and, further out, scuba divers can enjoy the marine life of the Caribbean. The resort has a swimming pool, two floodlit tennis courts, gym and boutique, and also offers a range of onsite activities such as yoga, tai chi, sailing lessons, tennis lessons, a putting green and bowls green. The hotel can also arrange island tours, market visits, waterfall trips, river tubing and turtle-watching. Complimentary water sports include Hobie cats, snorkelling, stand up paddle boards, pedalos and kayaking. Scuba diving is at an extra charge.
Following a private breakfast, lunch is a casual affair at The Beach Club, which boasts a lovely setting on the beach. Tapas bites are also served here from 10:30am to 6:30pm while, after many years of association with the Calabash Grenada, Gary Rhodes has opened his first overseas restaurant at the hotel, simply named Rhodes.
