I checked in online via Air India for the BA return flight and selected seats. I also paid for seat selection on the leg to Mumbai. When we arrived at Mumbai we found our adjacent seats (aisle and middle) had been replaced with two middle seats in different rows. Not your problem but was it AI or BA who made the change I wonder...?

Business class was well worth the money particularly with the short transfer times. Going via Abu Dhabi incurred delays and having fast track though the airport was a godsend. If I was to book economy then I would ensure I had longer transfer times at the hub.
