On this popular tour you begin by travelling along the Golden Mile, the revitalised beachfront promenade which hugs the beckoning beaches of Durban, viewing the upgraded Point Waterfront. Then drive through the city, to the majestic City Hall and on to the small craft harbour. Drive past the sugar terminals and very busy warehouses on your way to the University of Natal – Durban Campus where you have lovely views of the harbour below.

Next stop is the bustling African/Indian Markets at Warwick Triangle – home to nine distinct markets where around 6,000 street vendors ply their trade. From culture to nature, you then visit the peaceful Durban Botanic Gardens founded in 1849, which are a treasure trove of massive trees from Asia, Africa and America, and see the magnificent orchid house. The tour ends at the Moses Mabhida Stadium where you can take a cable car ride for great views over the city.

Enjoy a full day of game viewing in a huge wildlife sanctuary for the opportunity of spotting animals including some or all of the Big Five - lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo. The Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve is renowned for its conservation efforts in saving the white rhino from extinction and you will learn all about this and other projects during your visit.

After an early morning departure from Durban you travel for around three hours to the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve where you spend the rest of the day watching for the aninals on a memorable safari. Hit the high ground

Experience the magnificent Drakensberg Mountains and spectacular scenery as you wind your way up the historic Sani Pass and into Lesotho - land of the 'People of the Blanket'. After an early morning pick up from your Durban hotel, travel inland past Pietermaritzburg and through the Natal Midlands. On arrival at the foothills of the Southern Drakensberg you change to a 4x4 vehicle.

Then travel up the steep and spectacular Sani Pass, up into the 'Roof of Africa'. As you rise over the escarpment you cross over into the Mountainous Kingdom of Lesotho. Enjoy the opportunity of visiting a traditional Basotho village and learn about the traditions and way of life. Taste some local beer and bread before having lunch at the highest pub in Africa. You arrive back at your hotel in the early evening.
