This five star tour of Jordan has everything. On your travels you will visit the famous Rose Red lost city of Petra, the jewel in Jordan's crown, Lawrence of Arabia's desert home at Wadi Rum, ruined Roman cities, Crusader castles, desert citadels and biblical sites. On this eight day tour you will also have time to explore Jordan's capital Amman, a modern Arab city full of surprises, and have the opportunity to chill out on the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest spot of Earth.
After touching down at Queen Alia International airport you will be met by one of our representatives who will help with customs and passport formalities before taking you to meet your private driver who will transfer you to your hotel in the capital city Amman. Time for some exploration before having dinner at your hotel.
After breakfast travel to the Greco Roman town of Gadara then to Ajloun and visit its castle which has panoramic views over the Jordan Valley. Then visit the ancient city of Jerash, one of the best preserved Roman towns in the world and a close second to Petra on the list of favourite destinations in Jordan. Return to Amman for overnight.
Today you enjoy a comprehensive tour of the capital city of the Hashemite Kingdom. Visit a downtown market and the city centre and traditional souks and restaurants selling local foods and sweets. See the Citadel and fortresses and spend time in the modern part of the White City seeing the contrasts between the old and new. Overnight Amman
Begin today by visiting Madaba, the city of mosaics, and then travel on to Mt Nebo for more stunning views over the Jordan Valley. Continue to Bethany, the baptism site of Jesus, where John the Baptist lived, then drive to Kerak, an historic city overlooking the Dead Sea. End the day at Petra where you will stay overnight.
Today you will visit the eighth wonder of the ancient world - the lost city of Petra, which has starred in many feature films. This Rose Red city is Jordan's most valuable treasure and its greatest tourist attraction. It is a vast, unique city carved into the sheer rock face more than 2,000 years ago. Enter the city through the Siq, a narrow crack in the Nubian sandstone, then be prepared to have your breath taken away by what lies ahead. Drive on to Wadi Rum for overnight.
Today you head out into the magical desert of Wadi Rum, home of Lawrence of Arabia. Enjoy a mint tea at the visitors centre before taking a jeep owned by one of the local Bedouins for a trip into the moon like landscape. Later travel to the Red Sea port city of Aqaba for a short tour and overnight stay.
Travel to Dana, a small village on the edge of a large natural gorge which enjoys spectacular views. Dana is one of Jordan's best nature reserves and nearby Mujib has several river filled canyons offering white water rafting experiences. Travel on to the Dead Sea and relax in the salty waters and try the healing powers of mud and mineral baths at your hotel spa.
Your action packed tour ends today back in Amman and there may be time to discover a little more of the capital city by visiting museums and shopping for souvenirs in the markets before your transfer to the airport for your onward flight or journey home.
