Today a private transfer to the airport has been arranged for your flight to San Pedro, where you will stay for three days. You have explored the big city and enjoyed all that Santiago has to offer, now it is time to relax
Tiny San Pedro de Atacama is a desert oasis village that has been transformed into a tourist boom town. It's the gringo gathering point of northern Chile and its popularity stems from its position in the heart of some of the country's most spectacular scenery. Overnight San Pedro
A short drive from town is Chile's biggest salt flat, spotted with pink flamingos and its edges crinkled by volcanoes. This area, with its fields of steaming geysers and host of unworldly rock formations, is well worth a visit while staying in San Pedro, which has quaint adobe streets, tree lined plazas and a postcard perfect church.
After experiencing the addictive relaxed atmosphere of San Pedro there will be time for some last minute shopping for souvenirs or sightseeing before your private transfer to the airport for your flight back to Santiago where you will stay the night at an airport hotel.
Today the third phase of this exciting tour begins when you fly to Punta Arenas and are met by one of our representatives and taken to your hotel in the beautiful Torres del Paine National Park, where you will stay for the next three days.
This national park is, without doubt, one of the most spectacular in Chile. It is a world biosphere reserve and has a huge variety of plant and animal species which, with its incredibly beautiful setting has made it an almost unequalled destination for hikers and backpackers, ecology-lovers and adventure sportsmen alike.
Snow-capped mountain peaks, cascading rivers and waterfalls, glaciers and mirrored lakes . . in all respects Torres del Paine national park deserves its reputation and you have another full day to sample its beauty. The main attractions are the Macizo (Massif) of Paine, formed from granite millions of years ago and the famous peaks of the park called the horns and towers.
You have experienced big city life in Santiago, relaxed at San Pedro and taken in the stunning scenery of the national park and today your tour comes to an end when you are taken to the airport at Punta Arenas for your onward flight or journey home.
