Your Chile adventure begins when you fly from the Chilean capital Santiago to Calama airport and are driven to San Pedro to begin your all inclusive stay with Explora, which includes an open bar and all excursions. On arrival at the Tulur Hotel settle in and find about all the exciting excursions that you will be making over the next two days.
Today you can choose from a menu of excursions that will make you appreciate this amazing landscape, such as salt flats, geysers, and old Atacamenian Villages. You can take these by car, bicycle, or hikes, always guided by an expert. After a great day return to the luxury and comfort of your hotel.
The first European explorers of this area were drawn by tales of a land rich in gold, somewhere to the south of the Inca Empire. It was on this quest that the Spaniard Diego de Almagro, after a dramatic journey across the Andes mountains in which more than half of his men perished, became the first European adventurer to arrive in Chile and walk across the Atacama Desert. Just as then, Atacama today continues to be a unique experience, an unforgettable encounter with surroundings rich in traditions, forms and colours.
Private transfer from Hotel to Calama Airport – Flight to Santiago (not included) Reception at Santiago Airport to be transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the evening at leisure
Another private transfer from your hotel to Santiago airport where you fly to Mataveri airport on Easter Island to begin a memorable four day stay. There is an all inclusive programme here too, and you will enjoy all meals, an open bar and all excursions during your stay at the Explora Rapa Nui-Varua.
Your first full day on Easter Island, known as Rapa Nui, and the opportunity to explore the amazing landscapes with expert guides. Located 2,237 miles from the American continent, surrounded by the world’s most transparent waters, Rapa Nui is the cradle of an unusual and enigmatic culture which persists to this day. The language, music and many traditions remain alive among the island’s inhabitants, while the enormous carved stone moai tell of a more remote past.
Your second full day on Easter Island and a chance to get up close to some of those mysterious stone statues that are steeped in myth and legend. Every day on Easter Island you can choose from a wide range of explorations on foot or on bicycles and you can opt for longer or shorter excursions. At the end of each trip the luxurious lodge is waiting for you to relax and recharge your batteries
You say farewell to Easter Island today when you leave the lodge and are driven to the airport on a private transfer to catch your flight back to Santiago. You will again be met at the airport and taken back to the comfort of the Lastarria Boutique Hotel where you can relax before going out to sample the nightlife in this lively city.
Another private transfer from your hotel to Santiago airport this morning for the flight to Punta Arenas airport where you will be met and taken to another Explora Hotel, the Patagonia Salto Chico where you will again stay on a full board all inclusive basis for the next four nights as you explore the beautiful region of Torres del Paine.
Today you can again choose from a menu of excursions designed for you to make the most out of another amazing landscape. Patagonia is the southernmost region of the American continent and one of the least populated areas in the world. Millions of years ago, it underwent major geological and glaciological transformations which created mountains, glaciers, lakes and rivers.
Another great day in Torres del Paine national park where you can hike, cycle or travel around by car. Today this beautiful region is home to an extensive variety of plants and animals, many of which are native to the area. The Hotel Salto Chico is your base and is the only lodge at the centre of the national park, which is home to diverse and pristine ecosystems and just the spot for some great Patagonia travel experiences.
Your last full day at the luxurious Hotel Salto Chico and Torres del Paine, so make the most of it. As with all days on this tour, you can choose from a wide range of activities and trips. As well as walking and cycling tours, you can explore on horseback and get close to nature all the time knowing that the comfort of your state of the art lodge awaits at the end of the day.
The final day of this remarkable tour today when you are picked up at your hotel and taken to the airport for your flight back to Santiago. Here you can stay on and extend your holiday in South America by taking an onward flight or begin your journey home having seen so many amazing sights.
