This perfect holiday if you're interested in design and architecture, or if you just fancy staying somewhere a bit different, this trip takes you to of the world's most innovative hotels. With a night in Kiruna's sparkling Icehotel, followed by a stay in Boden's unique Treehotel, as well as a good chance of spotting the Northern Lights and a wide range of optional excursions into the snowy landscape, this tour packs a raft of amazing experiences into just five days.
Today you'll fly to Kiruna, via Stockholm, and transfer to the Icehotel, where you'll receive a "survival induction". You'll then have the rest of the day at leisure to explore your spectacular surroundings before retiring to your room, where you'll sleep on a bed made of an ice blocks covered with a thick mattress and reindeer skins, with a thermal sleeping bag to keep you warm.
You'll start today with a hot cloudberry juice, a warming sauna and breakfast, then have the rest of the day at leisure to relax. You'll spend this evening in warm accommodation.
After breakfast this morning, you'll make the three-and-a-half-hour train journey across Swedish Lapland to Boden and then transfer to the Treehotel, where you'll stay in one of six unique cabins suspended among the trees and accessed by labyrinth of bridges and ladders. Tonight you'll enjoy a delicious home-made dinner at Britta’s Guest House, where you may meet the owners of this extraordinary hotel.
After breakfast at Britta's, you'll have the remainder of the day at leisure. You may like to head to the forest spa, take a husky or snowmobile excursion, join a Sami cultural experience or meet the moose and reindeer. Tonight you'll again enjoy dinner at Britta's.
This morning you'll transfer to Lulea airport to catch your flight home.
