Rocky Mountaineer Vancouver to Banff

Description

Soaring peaks, deep blue lakes, pristine wilderness and a stunning journey through the clouds . . . you get all this and more when you board the Rocky Mountaineer for one of the world's great train journeys. Starting on Canada's Pacific Coast in the lovely city of Vancouver the train heads east up through the heart of the Rockies where the views are breathtaking. This is a wonderful and relaxing way to see the best scenery that Canada has to offer and by letting the train take the strain you won't miss any of it while relaxing in the comfort of the Canadian Pacific railway's observation cars.

Day 1
Vancouver to Kamloops

Say goodbye to Vancouver and head for the heart of British Columbia's interior. On today's journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery from lush green fields of the Fraser Valley, forests and winding river canyons and the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains. The day ends as the train travels along the shores of the Kamloops Lake and into the town. Overnight in Kamloops.

Day 2
Kamloops to Banff

Today you will head up into the mighty Rockies and the scenery is truly spectacular. Highlights include the amazing corkscrew tunnels that form part of the rich history of the railroad, climbing up over Rogers Pass and going through Kicking Horse canyon and travelling alongside glaciers and snow capped peaks. This spectacular journey ends in the great mountain town of Banff in the heart of the Rockies.

Always have great service from Travis

Flew to Vancouver

Please remind me next time I book a flight, NOT to go through Heathrow. The service for wheelchair assistance is appalling. It took over 1.5 hours to get from terminal 5 to terminal 3. As a result I missed my connection to Manchester and had then to wait for the next flight. Their attitude to anyone needing assistance is terrible

Great holiday. Great service with good follow up support from DialAFlight.

Flew to Vancouver

Only a couple of comments - a couple of hotels were adequate but could have been better and would have preferred upgrade options at time of booking.

|
Flew to Vancouver

Great to be able to speak to a real person and discuss options. Once booked, any queries can be dealt with by phone too. Staff are always polite, friendly and very efficient.

Excellent as always

Flew to Vancouver

Flight very good, food on return poor. Biggest problem was Avis care hire. Our car a Nissan Versa was underpowered for a trip across the Rockies, needed to be a 2 litre at least. But overall a holiday of a lifetime

Flew to Vancouver

The only disappointment was that the hotel booked for us in Vancouver was quite some distance from the city centre, other than that the trip was excellent...

I've already recommended you to a number of people who have mentioned that they used Trailfinders. One observed that they didn't know that you do anything but flights as it doesn't say that in your ads.

Everything went like clockwork and made our travelling stress free, a great service, A1.

|
Flew to Vancouver

I would advise anyone when booking to make sure the hotel is quite near the city as the Westin Prince Hotel in Toronto was far too far away from the town.

Flew to Vancouver

Everything you organised worked perfectly. It may be useful to tell people if they are travelling AC Rouge that the service isn't as good (no free booze and no on screen info about the flight) return flight with AC much better.

All worked very smoothly (apart from a puncture en route to Heathrow, for which we cannot blame DialAFlight!) It is reassuring to have such personal care all along the way. Glad we booked with Lucas
