Magnificent Hunter Valley Winetaster
Explore the fertile Hunter Valley and taste award-winning regional foods and wines. Enjoy private vineyard inspections and learn of the winemaking process. Spend your time strolling amongst the vineyards, purchase some wines, or just enjoy the beautiful Australian countryside. Be treated to magnificent views of the Hawkesbury River in the morning. See the remains of a convict built road winding into the Hunter Valley and stroll around historic Wollombi Village. Home to Australia’s oldest wine producing region, the Hunter Valley owes its fame to world class viticulturalists and fertile soils. Enjoy a private wine tasting experience at world renowned Lindemans, then visit Hunter Resort and enjoy a presentation on how the winery operates, a truly informative and educational experience. A delicious luncheon is accompanied by wine tastings – your two-course lunch will be complimented with specially chosen wines. Have the opportunity to visit Bluetongue Brewery, home of Bluetongue Beer and perhaps try a tasting paddle of the available varities (own expense). Further tastings include a visit to Oakvale Winery – be sure to taste their Australian wines. Our last stop will take you to Hunter Valley Gardens, a quaint little township within the Hunter Valley. Have free time to explore the many hidden delights in the garden village. You have the opportunity to try further tastings at the Hunter Valley Cellars. After departing Hunter Valley Gardens we head back to Sydney via Freeman's Waterhole and the Expressway to arrive approximately at 6.15pm.
