This short journey is designed to give travellers a taste of Thailand’s highlights. Visit Bangkok and Chiang Mai, soak up some of Thailand’s more modern history in the scenic Kanchanaburi and River Kwai areas. Also, enjoy visits to a number of food and vegetable markets. Suitable for travellers with an average level of fitness and mobility.

Included: 6 night tour with accommodation and breakfast, 1 dinner,.a domestic flight, all transport by modern air-conditioned vehicles, all sightseeing as specified (excluding entrance fees), Western tour leader based on a minimum of seven travellers, local English-speaking guides throughout, arrival and departure transfers.

This tour was a great way to see the the main sites of Thailand. The sights and smells of Bangkok were great.

Full Tour Itinerary


Day 1-2: Bangkok

Arrive in Bangkok and absorb the energy of the megalopolis as you explore the Grand Palace, Chinatown, the Chao Phraya River and can take your free time to enjoy Asia’s best spas and restaurants.
Stay 2 nights: Siam Heritage

Day 3-4: River Kwai & Kanchanaburi

The beautiful wilderness area surrounding Kanchanaburi is where you will discover ethnic minority groups and a fascinating recent history at Hellfire Pass and Museum. En route visit a traditional Thai house and take in the world-famous floating markets.
Stay 1 night: Resotel
Stay 1 night: Felix River Kwai Resort

Day 5-7: Chiang Mai

Fly to Chiang Mai and encounter the Lanna Kingdom’s cultural sites by samlor, then travel into the countryside to an amazing elephant camp where you can ride these playful pachyderms on a light jungle trek. Doi Suthep Temple takes pride of place atop a hill outside of the ancient walled city; stop here and at the Hilltribe Museum, where you will gain an understanding of local cultures. Depart on day 7.
