This two-day cycling trip takes you through Thailand's stunning countryside, along the Khao Yai Wine Trails. Along the way there'll be plenty of opportunity to taste the excellent wines produced here, and you'll work up a good appetite for enjoying the delicious Thai food. The trails are in excellent condition, with very few steep sections, so the tour is suitable for cyclists of most ability levels, as well as for families.
Early this morning you'll leave Bangkok and drive north-east to Khao Yai Park. This huge park is home to over 2,000 different species of plant life and more than 300 species of birds and animals. You'll take some time to explore the park and enjoy a short trek through the jungle to the beautiful Heo Naraok waterfall before continuing to your resort to check in and enjoy a light lunch. In the afternoon, you'll hit the saddle, riding through patchwork countryside to your first vineyard, Gran Monte, for a wine tasting. You'll continue along the back roads to Khao Yai winery for a scenic ride through the vineyards, another tasting and a tour of the wine-making facilities before the short ride back to your resort.
After breakfast this morning you'll enjoy a pleasant ride through the valley trails to the Hornbill Restaurant, part of the Khao Yai Winery estate, for a well-deserved Thai lunch and a glass of wine. Afterwards you'll head back your resort for a rest and perhaps a dip in the pool before returning to Bangkok via Saraburi, arriving in the late afternoon.
