Nepal is one of the richest countries in the world in terms of bio-diversity due to its unique geographical position. Its altitude varies from 60 meters above sea level to the highest point on earth - Mt. Everest. On this five day tour you will experience climatic conditions from sub-tropical to arctic. You will travel through the greatest mountain range on earth, thick tropical jungles teeming with wildlife, thundering rivers, forested hills and frozen valleys. There is a comprehensive itinerary which will let you appreciate all aspects of this beautiful country including the old heritage and culture of the Kathmandu valley.
After arriving at the airport you will be met by one of our tour representatives and taken to your hotel in the capital city. After checking in there will be time to go exploring on your own in this fascinating city, visiting some of the many temples and shrines, or shopping for souvenirs.
After breakfast you begin a guided city tour, visiting the 17th Century Durbar complex and Hanuman Dhoka, temple of living goddess, and Taleju Temple at Swoyambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, one of the oldest Buddhist stupa overlooking the entire Katmandu valley. In the afternoon, travel to Patan city visiting the historic durbar square, the golden gate, the sky piercing temple of Teleju and the statue of Yogendra Malla. Then return to your hotel calling at a Tibetan Refugee camp on the way
Wake early for a memorable flight over Everest. This is an hour of breathtaking views in the mighty mountains and the Everest flight is a sparkling clear journey across the world’s highest peaks. Return to the hotel for breakfast then travel to Nagarkot visiting Bhadgaon city on the way. Nagarkot is popular with tourists and is a great place for those seeking mountain views in comfort and quiet. At sunrise, the Himalayan range emerges from the darkness with awe inspiring beauty. Drive back to Kathmandu in the evening.
Today you visit the Pashupatinath temple and Boudhnath stupa. The temple is noted for its erotic wood carvings. This is a replica of the famous Pashupatinath temple of Kathmandu built by the Yakchya Malla. Bodhnath's colossal stupa is one of the largest in world and after a visit there you return to the hotel and enjoy an afternoon at leisure
Today your wonderful tour of Nepal comes to an end where it began, in Kathmandu. Time for some last minute shopping or sightseeing before you are taken to the aitport for your onward flight or journey home . . . having experienced life on top of the world.
