An average level of fitness is required.

Full Tour Itinerary


Day 1: Vientiane

On arrival in Vientiane you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Vientiane is a laid-back capital which retains an old world feel and is a great contrast to the industriousness of other cities in Indochina. This afternoon tour the famous sights including Wat Sisaket, Vientiane’s oldest original temple, Phra That Luang, and the Patuxai monument, reminiscent of the Arc de Triomphe. Late afternoon is ideal for taking in a Mekong River sunset and a cool drink.
Stay 1 night: Novotel Hotel

Day 2-5: Luang Prabang & the Pak Ou Caves

On day 2 we fly north to the charming former capital of Luang Prabang. With its mountainous backdrop and riverside setting, this delightful town has a unique and special charm. We visit the former Royal Palace, walk up Mount Phou Si and travel by boat through stunning mountain scenery to the caves of Pak Ou. We rise early to witness the unforgettable sight of saffron robed monks collecting alms from local people at dawn. We also visit the beautiful Kuang Si falls, with time to swim and relax and visit nearby Hmong hill tribe villages. Take part in a fun Lao cooking class and have free time for your own exploration. Celebrate your final night in this enchanting country with a farewell dinner. The following day your journey ends with a transfer to the airport. Alternatively, you may like to extend your stay in Luang Prabang.
