There is no better place in South Africa to see wildlife than the wide open spaces of the Kruger National Park. And on this short three day tour you can cram in lots of excitement with every chance of seeing all of the Big Five - lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino - on early morning and evening game drives. The Kruger is probably the Rainbow Nation's most famous national park and during an action packed few days you can see so many animals in their natural habitat. This tour makes a great addition to a longer holiday in South Africa.
You will be met at your hotel in Johannesburg by one of our tour representatives and driven to the Protea Hotel Kruger Gate on the outskirts of the national park where you will stay for the next two nights on a half board basis. Begin your safari adventures with an evening game drive seeing the animals emerge after the heat of the day and then return for dinner as the sun sets blood red.
After breakfast you will go on a game drive in the park in a specially designed open safari vehicle with a qualified and experienced guide. The safari starts early and your guide will cover as much area as possible stopping at various look out points. World-renowned Kruger offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa. In the evening you will return to the park and as night falls, start looking for game with spotlights under the African Stars.
Say farewell to the Kruger and take the 'Panorama Route' to Johannesburg. This route is known for its cultural heritage and dramatic landscapes. It leads through the rugged mountain range of the northern Drakensberg and passes the Great Escarpment with fantastic views of the plains of the Lowveld. Visit the Blyde River Canyon Nature Sanctuary then travel over the famous Long Tom pass through picturesque towns and the pioneer mining village of Pilgrim's Rest before arriving in Johannesburg where the tour ends.
