There are plenty of luxurious train journeys to take around the world but few can compare with the comfort and style offered on the regular Blue Train service between Pretoria and Cape Town in South Africa. Check-in at The Blue Train Lounge, Pretoria Station and enjoy pre-departure snacks and drinks. Boarding starts when butlers usher guests to their suites and arrange eating times. The Blue Train stops at Kimberley Station. where you will be taken to join an old tram for a ride down to the world famous diamond mine, see the Big Hole and visit the town museum. After this exciting tour board the train and enjoy an elegant dinner on the way south. Please note, trains running in winter (1 Jul - 31 Aug) may be delayed due to speed restrictions in cold weather. This may affect some of the excursions normally included in the schedule, you will be informed by the train manager at the time of departure
Enjoy breakfast as the Blue Train rolls through the wine lands on its way to the Cape. Table Mountain will appear in the distance as you arrive into one of the world's great cities. Butlers will ensure all you luggage is handled as you say farewell to this famous train at Cape Town Station having experienced the ultimate in railway luxury. The train will arrive into Cape Town at around 1500.
