If you want to experience a very special African safari there is no better place to start than Loldia House at Lake Naivasha, Kenya. At Loldia House you will experience the life of Kenya's early settlers while relaxing and exploring the Great Rift Valley. There are beautiful views of the dormant volcano Mount Longnot, wild animals roam free on the farm and in the evenings hippo graze quietly by the waterside. After this great introduction to Africa's wildlife travel on to the Masai Mara staying at luxurious Governors Camp where there are organised early morning and evening game drives.
You will be picked up at Nairobi airport or your city centre hotel by one of our tour representatives and driven to Wilson Airport for the scheduled flight to Naivasha. There you will be taken by lodge vehicle to Loldia House followed by an afternoon activity in this beautiful area.
Today is flexible and activities will be tailored to your requirements. There are game drives to Lake Nakuru National Park, boating, fishing, and a visit to Hell's Gate National Park. Loldia House was established by a settler after the Boer War and is still owned by the same family today. Nestled under acacia and wild fig trees on the western shores of Lake Naivasha, the farm is ideally situated to visit the flamingo lakes of Nakuru and Elementaita, with excellent chances of seeing rare white rhino.
Today you say farewell to Loldia House after a morning game drive. Enjoy lunch before being picked up and taken to the airport for your flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival you will be met by a representative from Governors Camp where you will be staying for the next three days. Here game drives in open vehicles will give you a great introduction to the phenomenal wildlife of the Masai Mara.
The Masai Mara is one of Africa's truly great game parks and here you have a great chance to see the Big Five - elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and rhino. Begin your adventure with a game drive at dawn then relax in the comfort of Governors Camp before an evening game drive.
Rise early today and enjoy a dawn game drive. This is one of the best times to see the wild animals before the heat of the day sets in. Rest of the day at leisure at Governors Camp before an evening game drive returning for dinner as the sun sets blood red over the Masai Mara.
Today your wonderful six day safari adventure comes to an end. Time for another morning game drive before lunch at Governors Camp. You will then be taken to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. On arrival in Kenya's capital city you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight or journey home or taken to your hotel to continue your African holiday.
