Nothing quite prepares you for the sights and sounds of the Victoria Fall's in full flow. But while visiting one of the world's great natural wonders it's well worth taking this three day trip down the Chobe River on the Zambezi Queen. This cruise makes a refreshing contrast to normal land-based safaris but as you sail through Botswana's Chobe National Park you will see just as many animals. The boat boat itself is stunning and the food and service on board second to none.
You will be met on arrival at Kasane airport in Botswana and driven to the banks of the Chobe River. The Zambezi Queen is docked on the Namibia side of the river and once aboard you can settle in and enjoy an afternoon game viewing on a launch boat hoping to see some or all of the Big Five - lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. Then enjoy the facilities on board or relax in your suite before an a la carte dinner on board under a star studded African sky.
After an early breakfast you have a choice of activities. You can either go for water based game viewing on the boat's tender, take a fishing trip along the river, or visit some of the local villages in Namibia. Return to the Zambezi Queen for lunch which you enjoy while cruising down the Chobe River. In the afternoon there's more water based game viewing by launch or fishing from the tender. Return to the Zambezi Queen with time at leisure before dinner.
Enjoy breakfast and watch the wildlife at the water's edge as you continue to cruise along the Chobe River before reaching the final destination near Seduda Island. From here you are taken by boat back to Chobe Marina Lodge Riverside lounge for your onward road transfer to Livingstone or Victoria Falls Airport. And before flying out and continuing your African adventure, make sure you spend as much time as possible at the stunning Victoria Falls.
