Day 1: Mexico City
Clients will fly from Europe to Mexico City. On arrival in Mexico City, Clients will be met and transferred to the hotel. This is a relatively small hotel right on the main square overlooking the National Palace. The rooms are simple but comfortable with en-suite bathrooms. The hotel has a lovely roof-top terrace restaurant. The Best Western Majestic Hotel in Mexico City joins the National Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral as part of a group of historical buildings that share a central and unique area in The Zocalo Plaza. This plaza was built on the centre of pre-Hispanic America in the largest city in the world.

Day 2: Mexico City
Clients will be collected and taken on a morning sightseeing tour to the Pyramids of Teotihuacan and to the Shire of Guadalupe. Pick up time: 09:00 am Teotihuac·n means "The place where the gods were shaped" and experts believe the site was built around 2000 years ago. Here you can find the pyramids of the sun & the moon, the ciudadela and the palace of Quezalpapalotl (the plumed butterfly), these are the main buildings along the Avenue of the dead, which is nearly a mile in length.
Day 3: Mexico City
Clients will be collected and taken on a morning City tour in Mexico City to include highlights such as National palace which contains Diego Rivera's famous murals, the Metropolitan Cathedral, started in 1573 and designed to replace a smaller church. The present structure took 250 years to complete. The Cathedral is a treasure trove of beautiful paintings, sculpture, and jewellery. Finally, visit to Chapultepec Park and the Residential District. Pick up time: 09:00 am.
Day 4: Fly to Merida
Clients will be transferred on time to Mexico City airport for their domestic flight to Oaxaca. On arrival in Merida, clients will be collected and transferred to the hotel. This is a lovely small, hotel housed in a beautifully restored colonial mansion. Located 2 blocks from the main square it has 50 rooms on three floors (no elevator). The restaurant is off the central courtyard and elegantly decorated. A little gem. This lovely 4-star hotel is housed in a beautifully restored colonial mansion. It has been featured in several interior decor magazines for its architectural design and attention to every detail. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 5: Monte Alban
Clients will be collected and taken on a morning half-day sightseeing tour to include: Monte Alban. Palaces, tombs and temples used to stand where the ruins now lay, this site was first occupied around 500BC by Zapotecs and Monte Alban (the White Mountain) was once the centre of a highly organised society, controlling the Valles Centrales. No meals included. Normal pick up time is 09:00 hrs.
Day 6: Tuxtla Gutierrez
Clients will be transferred on time to Oaxaca airport for their domestic flight to Tuxtla Gutierrez with Mexicana Airlines. On arrival in Tuxtla Gutierrez, clients will be met at the airport and transferred to the Sumidero Canyon, an area of outstanding natural beauty, where clients will board a boat for this wonderful and relaxing trip in the Canyon. Look out for howler monkeys, crocodiles and many wonderful birds! After this trip, Clients will continue on to San Cristobal De Las Casas. A remarkable place, this town has people from various ethnic backgrounds, who still maintain their traditions and beliefs. This Swiss owned hotel is a converted old town house. It is now a lovely, charismatic hotel, which also showcases local art. The rooms are simple but comfortable and this small property is perfectly located to be able to explore this fascinating town on foot.

Day 7: Day at leisure in San Cristobal
At leisure in San Cristobal de las Casas.
Day 8: Agua Azul
Clients will be transferred through the beautiful mountain countryside to the Agua Azul waterfalls. Clients will have the opportunity to swim and walk here so please keep the bathing costumes to hand!! Following this, clients will continue their journey onto Palenque, where they will overnight in the Hotel. This hotel is very pretty with a truly wonderful pool.

Day 9: Campeche
This morning clients will be taking a step back in time to the era of the Mayas, visiting the magical archaeological site of Palenque. The guide will explain to clients the history behind the site and the many traditions of the Mayan people. After the visit to the site, clients will continue their journey onto Campeche, where they will overnight in Hotel Del Mar. This is a modern hotel, a comfortable three star with all amenities and ideally positioned to explore Campeche. At leisure to rest in the beautiful city of Campeche.

Day 10: Merida
Clients will continue their journey to the beautiful City of Merida. This is a new hotel built within an old palace building. It is near to the main Zocalo and has been refurbished with great sympathy to the original architecture. The rooms are small but quiet, which is not easy to find in Merida. The hotel has a pool and a lovely bar. The restaurant here is non-smoking and does not accept children under 16.

Day 11: Uxmal
Clients will be met and taken of a day sightseeing tour to Uxmal. Pick up time: 09:00. Uxmal is the most important Mayan settlement located on the Puuc Route. Each one of its architectural and ornamental lines illustrates the so-called Puuc style, with flat facades at the base and miniscule masks of stones near the top. Uxmal (OOSH-mahl) means "'built three times" in the Mayan language, and though its name is a mystery, its beauty is not. As a World Heritage site, it is one of the best restored and maintained ruins in the Yucatan, and certainly one of the most magnificent.
Day 12: Chichen Itza
Clients will be met and taken of a day sightseeing tour to Chichen Itza. Pick up time: 09:00 am. This is one of the largest and best-preserved sites on the Yucatan peninsula. The main site here is the castle, known as the Pyramid of Kukulcan, a fine example of the mix between the Maya & Toltec cultures. The pyramid is a calendar with four stairways, a platform at the top and a total of 365 steps. Lunch included.
Day 13: Departure
Clients will be transferred to Merida Airport on time to connect with their international flight back to Europe
