Doubletree By Hilton Tower Of London

Doubletree By Hilton Tower Of London 4 Star

from £140 per room night

Location

Set on the north side of the Thames, by Tower Bridge, on the quaintly named Pepys Street, the DoubleTree hotel is close to all manner of tube and train stations – including the DLR line to City Airport – so getting around the capital couldn’t be easier. It’s also close to the major financial institutions, so makes a great business choice.

Rooms

Every stylish, contemporary room here has its own iMac entertainment centre, as well as lots of thoughtful extras to help you enjoy your stay – all have wifi, air-conditioning, soundproofing, large windows and power showers. Guests in the executive rooms will also receive a chef’s treat in their room on arrival. Those staying in the suites and executive rooms enjoy additional features, which may include Tower Bridge views or a separate seating area, as well as access to the Executive Lounge. A number of accessible rooms, featuring wide doorways and lowered beds and sinks, are also available.

Activities

On your doorstep are Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, so you don’t have to go far to experience historic London. On the south side of the bridge, you’ll also find the foodies’ favourite, Borough Market, the Globe Theatre and the Tate Modern, while on the north, a short trip will take you to the West End, with its copious museums, theatres, bars and restaurants and shopping venues. Further east there are yet more markets and quirky shops and restaurants to explore. St Paul’s Cathedral is also within walking distance, and the Houses of Parliament are a short hop away.

Dining

Guests can dine at the City Café, open for breakfast and dinner, where they’ll have their pick of innovative British dishes prepared using seasonal produce under the guidance of executive chef Charles Hilton. There’s also the Lobby Bar, located under the hotel’s impressive central atrium, for pastries and lighter bites, or you can head up to the 12th-floor Sky Lounge, with its terrace and barbecue area, where you’re guaranteed spectacular views and an enticing list of cocktails, spirits and tasty snacks, burgers, larger dishes and sharing platters.

Spa

Guests are welcome to use the hotel’s 24-hour fitness centre
