Location

Built in the 19th-century, the luxurious Olissippo Lapa Palace is nestled on a hilltop overlooking the Tagus River, in the city’s diplomatic quarter and close to various shopping opportunities. The hotel’s 109 elegant and opulent rooms are spread across three sections – the Palace Wing, Garden Wing and Villa Lapa. All have a unique design inspired by Art Deco, Colonial, Algarvian or Neo-Classical styles. They all feature Portuguese fabrics and hand-crafted furniture, king beds, free Wi-Fi, well-appointed bathrooms with L’Occitane amenities, a work desk, hairdryer, robes, slippers and mini bar. Rooms on the Noble Floor of the palace have been redecorated with lamps, mirrors and furniture recovered from the original palace, while the gold leaves on the walls of the Suite Count of Valencas have been restored.

Activities

The city’s historical area and shopping opportunities are just a step away from the hotel. If you’re feeling lazy, it’s the opportunity is always there to just kick back and relax all day at the hotel’s beautiful outdoor swimming pool surrounded by lush tropical gardens, dotted with ornamental fountains and streams, or indoor pool. Dining

Enjoy delicious Mediterranean dishes created by chef Helder Santos at the elegant Lapa Restaurant; cocktails, iced teas and fresh juices as well as lunch at the poolside Le Pavillon Restaurant, or an informal drink overlooking the Tagus River at the Rio Tejo Bar. This is also a popular place for afternoon tea and live piano music from 7pm from Tuesday to Saturday.
