Intercontinental Lisbon

Intercontinental Lisbon 5 Star

from £94 per room night

Location

One of the Park Atlantic group of hotels, whose mission statement starts with the words ‘exceptional settings’, the Tara Park Lisboa is a five-star palace of Portuguese style set in the heart of Lisbon, on the edge of the Parque Eduardo VII, with beautiful views and just steps away from the rich heritage and contemporary culture of this special city.

Rooms

Park Atlantic’s core values include distinction, individuality, luxury and comfort, and the 331 rooms and suites of Tiara Park do not disappoint. With décor inspired by the elements – Air, Earth, Water and Fire – the rooms are resplendently furnished with rich textiles, modern artefacts and tactile woods and manage to be contemporary but homely. Expect breathtaking river or city views, chaises longues, spacious work areas, espresso machines, internet access, cable TV, hi-fi systems, slippers and bathrobes and Hermès toiletries in the bathrooms, while the Duplex Suites are home-from-home with split level accommodation with large living areas downstairs and an open staircase leading to an upstairs bedroom with additional loo. And if you really want to push the boat out, go for the magnificent Presidential Suite, with separate living, dining, office and sleeping areas, and a truly fabulous dark wood and cream marble bathroom with its own Turkish bath.

Activities

If you’re planning a meeting, conference, a special dinner or even a cocktail party from 80 to 550 people , the Tiara Park Atlantic is a great venue and has all the necessary services to make it go with a bang. There is a fitness centre in the hotel and a health club nearby, but the main attraction here is the hotel’s location and proximity to all of Lisbon’s attractions. From the Castle of St George, and the Monastery of the Hieronymites to the Tower of Belém and the Monument to the Discoveries, you will not be short of things to do and see in Lisbon.

Dining

L’Appart restaurant serves American buffet break fast in the morning, or you can choose from a menu of cereals, various eggs, cold meats and cheeses. For lunch there’s traditional Portuguese pasta, fish, soups and salads, while dinner is the full works with an impressive dessert list. Named for the Hindu god of peace, the Le Ganesh bar is the perfect place to unwind after a busy day sightseeing. An impressive cocktails and drinks list, as well as a choice of light meals and snacks is served in warm and stylish surroundings.
