HOTEL BOOKING SERVICE

I've stayed there

Before you book a hotel it's good to speak with someone who has actually been there. Where you see this logo by a Hotel, it means that members of our staff have stayed there themselves.
Click on the logo and we'll give you a list of who is available for a chat with you right now!

Our top ten hotel tips

1.Location

On booking your hotel, make sure it is suitably located. If you plan to travel around a city, choose a hotel with easy access to public transport. If having a room on the beach is a priority, make sure of this before booking.

2.Facilities

Check the facilities at your hotel, and call them or your travel agent to make sure information is up to date. You don't want to arrive to find the rooftop pool is closed!

3.Dining

If you plan to stay within the hotel complex, make sure there are enough dining options on site. If you want to eat outside of the hotel, make sure restaurants are a short distance away.

4.Guests

If you're taking young children on holiday, ensure that your hotel accepts them. You'll also need to know if they have activities and facilities such as children's clubs. If you're looking for a romantic break, make sure you check in to an adults-only hotel.

5.Near or far from the airport?

Being in a hotel located close to the airport can be a blessing or a curse. On one hand, you'll have a short trip to and from your hotel. On the other, if you're trying to relax on the beach and have aeroplanes passing overhead every 10 minutes, you'll wish you'd ventured further out.

6.Sleeping arrangements

On booking your hotel room, state whether you need a double bed, two singles, or if you have any special requirements, such as a sofa bed or cot.

7.B&B or self-catering?

Decide whether you'll need breakfast at the hotel every day or if you'll be cooking for yourselves and eating out most of the time. Taking this into consideration can save you money.

8.Building works

Always check when booking your hotel whether there are any building works planned. You don't want to arrive to find workmen drilling outside your window from dawn til dusk.

9.Personal safety

Find out if hotel rooms have modern electronic locks. These change for every new guest, minimising the chance of anyone having a duplicate key to your hotel room.

10.Fire safety

Always check the location of your nearest fire exit and fire extinguisher.
