Location

Set in the leafy township of Siem Reap, in the north west of Cambodia, the upsacale boutique hotel of Shinta Mani Club is just a 15 -minute tuk tuk ride from the magnificent temples of Angkor Watt, walking distane to the Old Market, the cafes and bars of the tourist trail and the tranquil nearby river trail.

Rooms

Designed by architect Bill Bensley, the Shinta Mani Club has 39 contemporary style rooms divided into Superior, Poolside, Deluxe and Deluxe Living, furnished with twin or king-sized beds. The minimalist and chic interiors provide the perfect backdrop to art work showcasing the images of Angkor as well as handcrafted lamps and accessories. All the rooms have complimentary Wi-Fi, DVD and LCD TV, Soundbar and iPod Dock, tea and coffee making facitlities, a fully stocked mini bar, fruit bowl, personal safe, and a choice of pillows. Terrazzo style bathrooms come with rainshowers, haird dryers and bathrobes and slippers. Poolside rooms are just footsteps from the relaxing poo, so you can wakeup with a refreshing swim, while the Deluxe Rooms, in the new wing, have views of the pool and internal courtyar,d while the ground floor Deluxe Rooms look on to the lush gardens. Deluxe Living rooms can accommodate an extra bed so are the ideal place for families.

Activities

The Shinti Mani Spa has a Spa suites, three double treatment rooms and an oiutdoor massage terrace, to provide a haven of relaxation and rejuvenation. Indulges in treatments based on a combination of traditional Khmer healing rituals and modern therapies, such as the Khmer Coffee Scrub, which blends white clay and organic Cambodian coffee beans for a n aromatic treat. Away form the hotel, Siem Reap is the gateway to Ankor with its beautiful temples to explore, as well as the King’s Palae and the Royal Gardens. Guests also have access to Shinta Mani Resort, directly opposite, with its beautiful swimming pool and tropical gardens. The hotel is happy to organise any sightseeing trips s all you need to do is ask.

Dining

The beautifully designed Kroya (meaning ‘food’) restaurant blends international with local cuisine, combining fresh ingredients, native herbs and spice, and can be enjoyed indoors or al fresco, on one of the Khmer swings. The Pool Bar serves delicious freshly made drinks – try the Icy Green Ginger cocktail – as well as fruit smoothies and light snacks through the day. Bensleys Bar is located in the inner courtyard and provides the perfect setting for a post-temple tour sun downer. For a try authentic eating experience, try the AHA restaurant, which is located in the Old Market area of Siem Reap and offers taoas style starts, and main dishes, with an international wine list.
