Hog & Hominy
Where grits meets bocce
And they both sit down for pizza! This casual brainwave of a restaurant is one of Memphis’ finest, mixing up the best of Southern food (think hominy grits) with the best of Italian (think bocce court, wood fired pizzas and creamy polenta). The result? A wonderfully eccentric mix which is both laid back and fine dining at the same time. Sunny days are especially lovely. Take your lunch or dinner al fresco style out on the patio.

Best of the Barbecues
Memphis is, let’s say, “extremely” well known for its BBQs. So you can understand that there’s always debate over which restaurant offers up the finest. Our choice, and most of the city’s, has to be Central, with its scorching hot BBQ pit, slow-cooking all kinds of pork for up to 14 hours. Don’t miss their BBQ sandwiches with homemade chips and blue cheese dressing. Superb! Plus, with live music, your ears will love it too.

Southern values begin with breakfast
The original Brother Juniper was a cook for St. Francis of Assisi. Even though the good Saint wasn’t wealthy, Brother Juniper always served top notch meals. They’ve used the same philosophy at this Memphis namesake, particularly at breakfast, where they’ve been voted “Best Memphis Breakfast” year in, year out! It’s tasty, great value food balanced with family and community. Y’all will know why this is a nationally-acclaimed institution!

Best Restaurant, Best Service, Best Chef!
What do you get when you cook French-Creole cuisine, Memphis style? One of the city’s top restaurants, the multi award-winning Iris. One of the classiest joints in town (it’s set in a Midtown mansion), the at-home feel is lifted by lush artwork and out-of-this-world restaurant fare. With an ever-changing menu, expect exquisite dishes like sweet corn griddle cakes topped with Gulf crabmeat. It’s fresh and divine. Bon appetit!

Love burgers? You’ll love Hueys
It’s not often we recommend a burger joint – but when a restaurant has been voted Best Burger every year since 1984, we take notice. Not surprisingly, or with much modesty, Huey’s call their flagship dish the World Famous Burger, and it comes in several delectable variations, along with all the trimmings, like straw fries and crispy onion rings. There are branches all over town, with live music and an eclectic mix of family friendly people. Take a bite of that!
