5 hottest bars in Las Vegas

Don't miss these awesome cocktail bars. The hottest places to unwind after dark

Everything else is beneath you

1. Ghostbar

Everything else is beneath you

Our all-time favourite bar

That's the slogan at Ghostbar – and rightly so. Not only is it perched on the top floor of The Palms Hotel but the vibe is très sophisticated. Inside, the bar has a sensual, elegant feel with Murano-style chandeliers, intimate booths and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the city below. There's even a sky-deck outside to take in the air. Drinks include an exclusive menu of rosé Champagne handcrafted cocktails. Happily for you, they're half price between 8 and 10pm.

They don't come cooler

2. Minus5 Ice Bar

They don't come cooler

What better way to cool off in the desert than by popping into an ice bar? Don't worry, you won’t freeze to death. Patrons are given warms jackets, gloves and boots to enter this winter wonderland. Inside, everything is fashioned from ice: the bar, the walls, the sculptures, the seats and even the glasses! You can warm yourself up further with a few vodka-based cocktails. Always popular, it's an experience not to be missed.

Ultra playground on the Strip

3. Rockhouse

Ultra playground on the Strip

Rockhouse is one of the hottest spots in town. Spread over 9,000ft, there's plenty of action packed inside. For starters, a giant cage, with dancing girls. Further in, there's a labyrinth with two rooms, three bars, an elevated DJ booth, beer pong tables and a mechanical bull. As if that's not enough entertainment, there are 83 flat screen TV's playing all sorts of sport, a leopard-print billiards table and even a foosball game. To drink, choose a signature cocktail off their "Tales of Cock" menu!

The Venetian , 3355 S. Las Vegas Blvd   Tel: +1 702 731 9683

Fab bar for the Fab Four

4. The Beatles Revolution Lounge

Fab bar for the Fab Four

Fan of The Beatles? You’ll be pleased to know that Revolution captures the band’s spirit without succumbing to any sort of cheesiness. There’s an amazing Cirque du Soleil show which takes you on a psychedelic and sensory journey. Plus there’s a bar up front and a night club in the back where DJs spin rock-centric mixes and timeless mash-ups. Everything is very trippy looking, perfectly capturing the Beatles’ far-out era. John would have been proud.

The Mirage, 3400 S. Las Vegas Blvd   Tel: +1 702 692 8383

Clubhouse for the lunatic fringe

5. Double Down Saloon

Clubhouse for the lunatic fringe

Vegas brims with seedy watering holes but this isn’t your run-of-the-mill dive bar. For starters, it never closes. The walls are adorned with hedonistic murals of sheer debauchery and the signature drink is something called Ass Juice. The crowd is friendly though, a good mix of tourists, bikers, bums, bohemians and off-duty bartenders. Known locally as the Happiest Place on Earth, the Double Down Saloon is a great place for a bit of Anti-Vegas. Expect the unexpected.
