Madras - the spice flight

Take cheap flights to Madras where Clive of India and ancient Dravidian kingdoms come together. Now the fourth largest city in India, Madras grew up around the British built Fort St George and was made famous by Clive, the first Governor. See here Clive’s house and St Mary’s, the oldest Anglican church in India. Today, Madras is a spacious city which boasts one of the world’s largest and most beautiful beaches and a stroll along the Marina is reminiscent of the French Riviera. It is said Madras is home to some of India’s most graceful and elegant women, certainly to see the famous classical Bharata Natya dancers, is a must. Take Madras flights and journey south to see ancient Indian temples and bas-reliefs at Mahabalipuram, where the shrines have been carved out of solid rock, or west to Kanchipuram which boasts a temple 1,200 years old!
