Kos Island Tour from Bodrum

Kos it's there!

A few miles from Bodrum is the beautiful Greek island of Kos and this makes a great visit while staying in the Turkish resort. Asclepion, one of the best known healing centres of the ancient world, is on Kos, which is also the birthplace of Hippocrates, the father of medicine. And health seekers from the entire eastern Mediterranean were treated at Kos.

Your journey there is by hydrofoil, which leaves Bodrum at 9am and takes just 20 minutes. You will then be free to explore this picturesque old city at your own pace. The return journey to Bodrum is at 4pm from Kos and you will need to bring your passport. It's tempting to sit back, relax and soak up the sun while holidaying in Bodrum, but this trip to Kos is well worth taking.

Dalyan (Caunos) Tour

Mud, mud, glorious mud

The Dalyan Delta, with a long golden sandy beach at its mouth, is a natural conservation area which is home to lots of wildlife and a refuge for sea turtles. Dalyan has many therapeutic hot springs and the waters, which contain healing elements and sulphur, are believed to cure rheumatism, skin, liver, spleen and bowel complaints as well as being beneficial for nervous and digestive disorders.

The mud baths are also said to remedy skin conditions. Once you have smothered yourself in the mud you wait for a few minutes allowing it to dry. You can then clean yourself in the sulphur pool. The mud baths remain at a constant temperature of approx 40 degrees so you won't catch a cold while putting right any ailments. Of course, this makes a great relaxing trip even if you haven't got any health issues.
