We thought London City Airport a good bet. No need to spend a night in London; small quiet airport, & seamless connection using DLR+Underground between LCA & Paddington. Excellent service as ever from Oscar (you wanted feedback on LCA). Of course we shall use you again!

Minor point but I hadn't realised that there would be a city tax in Dresden. Otherwise the hotels were great and in excellent locations and all other arrangements went well.

Love you guys

Very good service. On BA flights you are allowed one piece of luggage in the hold up to 23kg. After a bit of repacking at the airport, we were able to use our ski boot bags as hand luggage so as to only have our main bag in the hold.

It may be worth investigating a travel pass for Switzerland. It can cover railway and cable car transport at a discount.

Everything went really well thank you - except for the Easy Jet in-flight coffee which is so weak and tasteless and very expensive. We didnt buy one on the way back!

Nice that we had a call before leaving but please remind us to check-in on return flight since we did not and therefore got lousy seats!!

Chocolate Train

offer 0 nights from £86pp (including flights) 1 days from £86pp

Spend a delightful day travelling in either the vintage 1915 Belle Epoque carriages or the modern panoramic carriages with the Swiss Chocolate Train, from Montreux to Gruyere and Broc (including shuttle bus from Montbovon to Gruyere and Broc). The chocolate train gives you the chance to sample two of Switzerland’s most famous specialities – chocolate and cheese. Leaving Montreux, coffee and croissants are served as you pass through the vineyards along Lake Geneva. In Gruyeres you will visit the cheese dairy producing the famous Gruyere cheese – La Maison du Gruyere. You see the traditional cheese-making and have the opportunity to sample the different cheese varieties. A shuttle bus brings you to the Gruyeres and you have time to explore the picturesque village or the castle. (Entry to the castle extra – free for holders of a Swiss Travel Pass). Continue to Broc for a visit to the Maison Cailler. Learn about the production process on a tour of the factory and sample mouth-watering Swiss chocolate, before travelling back to Montreux.
