Just Cavalli Restaurant & Club
Just fashion darling
Milan is the fashion capital of the world, so a trip to this stylish city is not complete without a visit to Just Cavalli Restaurant & Club, owned by the famous fashion designer himself, Roberto Cavalli. Despite the old adage that models don't eat, thankfully it appears designers do. This is a great restaurant serving typical Italian cuisine with a fashion touch. Expect plenty of music, a buzzing 'it' crowd vibe, and for dinner and drinks to go on late into the night.

MARTINI® Dolce & Gabbana
A result of the collaboration between Martini and Dolce & Gabbana, this bar is certainly stylish, boasting an almost total black interior with just a hint of colour from a red dragon rising from the floor, while a peaceful interior garden completes the spectacle. MARTINI also houses Bistrot, a fine dining area, serving delights including crispy cannelloni with buffalo's ricotta and fresh herbs, and an adjoining Gold Restaurant, which serves traditional Sicilian cuisine with international undertones. Afterwards, you can do a spot of shopping at the city's flagship Dolce & Gabbana Uomo boutique.

Ristorante Da Puccini
A sea of seafood
This sophisticated eatery was awarded Tripadvisor’s Certificate of Excellence 2013, and it justly deserves it. Attentive staff, elegant, modern decor and a house special, 'spaghetti with seafood in the crust', that combines everything a delicious Milanese meal should include: seafood, pasta and pizza! The restaurant also offers a choice of reasonably priced tasting menus from just 27 Euros, enabling even fledgling Italian foodies the chance to sample Italian food the way it should be eaten - over four courses, with wine, water and coffee included.
Via San Giovanni sul Muro, 5, 20121 Milan, Italy
Sweet taste of heaven
This delightful patisserie might be a little off piste from the centre of the tourist hub, but it's definitely worth the detour. Established in 1945, any sweet tooth worth their 'sugar' should visit, simply to try the delectable fruit tarts. Aim to grab a table at a lazy 11am after breakfast and enjoy your pastry or cake with a frothy, mid-morning Cappuccino.

10 Corso Como
An art space, restaurant and bar in one
Hidden in the heart of 10 Corso Como, a quiet courtyard behind a discreet façade of gates and gardens, this garden café/restaurant of the same name is more than just a place to grab a coffee. Surrounded by a conservatory of lush perennial plants and seasonal flowers, this all-encompassing venue is designed to flow between the inside and the outside, and in addition to offering brunch, lunch and dinner, it houses a bar serving all-day cocktails, a gallery and a bookshop.
