Flyboard

Up, up and away

You've tried water skiing, you may have had a go at jet skiing, but have you tried the latest craze of flyboarding? The sport has certainly caught on in St Barts and you can have some great aerial fun during this 30 minute flyboarding experience. The flyboard is attached to a 30ft hose, which is hooked up to a powerful jetski. The engine on the jetski forces water through the hose and out of nozzles on the base of the flyboard.

This is what provides the lift and allows you to live out your best Marty McFly fantasies. St Barts is a real holiday heaven. The island's cuisine ranks among the Caribbean’s best, and everything is stylish - from the chic boutiques in the capital, Gustavia, to the private villas that dot the hillsides. But while staying there it's well worth adding to those holiday memories by learning to flyboard.

Full day cruise to Anguilla

Slip off to eel island

Anguilla is a small archipelago located to the north of St Martin. Its name comes from the fact that the main island is shaped like an eel (anguille in French). The island has several fabulous beaches with fine white sand, and enchanting turquoise waters with numerous sites for good snorkelling and there are also some great restaurants where you can relax and appreciate the peacefulness of the island.

On this popular excursion the crew will serve cold drinks throughout the day and snorkelling gear and beach towels are provided. When staying on the beautiful island of St Barts there is so much to see and so many activities to try. But it's well worth spending at least one day exploring another fantastic Caribbean destination so you can take home even more great holiday memories.

Half day cruise around St Barth

Sail around the island

On this popular tour you will be taken to visit the most magnificent of the island’s 14 great beaches, including famous Shell Beach with its many shells and rocky cliffs that are simply breathtaking. Here those who are brave enough can make the jump from the top of one of the cliffs into the Caribbean Sea below while the rest of the group relax in the sunshine.

After leaving Shell Beach you are driven on to the beaches of Saline, Gouverneur, and Colombier, where you can bask on the fine white sand before heading over to the small island of Fourchue, which is just 15 minutes from St Barts. This the perfect spot to stop and check out the marine flora and fauna before cruising back to St Barts at the end of a memorable half day trip.

Hoverboard

Hoverboard

Be a human hovercraft

Considered the sister product of the flyboard, the aquatic hover board also takes advantage of water jets that blast the rider into the air. The only difference is that the participant “rides” along it skateboard-style, doing spins and grabs as well as skimming along the surface of the water. The cool looking boards have a top speed of 16mph and can “fly” 16ft above the water . . . so what are you waiting for?

You can try out this new craze while staying on St Barts. The boards echo Marty Mcfly’s much envied hoverboard from Back to the Future Part II and thrill seekers will be jumping at the chance to test out this real aquatic counterpart to the flyboard. There is lots to see and do while staying on the beautiful Caribbean island of St Barts, and the hoverboard is certainly one activity to try.
